i think they need a focus point-some form of motorsport! not just tailoring cars for the old people in an old image!!!! (no offence to any old people :lol: )

 

I remember going to the VW dealership with my dad and nan looking for a car for her a few years back. We'd thought one of the Polos would be alright for her and the dealer pretty much told us to go and get her a Ford instead! :lol: Hurrah for your friendly stealer :roll:

Whats this about on the site about the G60 Limited :

 

The result is 210bhp (DIN) at 6500rpm and 186lb ft of torque at 5000rpm with 8.8:1 compression ratio and supercharger providing 23psi of boost.

 

23PSI? Are the G-Laders on these VW Motorsport 'specials' or did they ship with small pulleys on the chargers as standard?

I'm not even going to waste any keystrokes discussing that yellow monstrosity but the Limited....what a machine :lol:

 

Didn't realise there were a few 3 door versions and black? I thought they were all Royal Blue 5 door cause they were based on the Golf Country / Synchro floor pan which was 5 door only?

 

Anyway, as no one has seen all 71, it's hard to say but back in 1989, that was *the* Golf everyone wanted and still is today to some die hard MK2 fans. I was never bowled over by it's bland looks but it proved the Germans do have a sense of humour to endow a boring looking Golf with 4WD and 210 Supercharged power!

I've got an old 'Golf' mag with a nice feature on the Limited - the RHD one

Well the mag was a featured all the G60's; the Limited, the Rallye & Oettinger.
