greegs 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Hi. Ordered a turn2 cold air induction kit for my vr6 on 26th of July and have still not received anything  Unable to get in touch with this Jim guy at all. Have tried phoning-rings out, sent about 20 odd emails-no reply's, placed about a dozen posts on his turn2 forum-had 1 reply on 19th of August "You're order has been shipped. I will locate the tracking number and email it to you. Jim. STILL WAITING ON EMAIL! Turns out I'm not the only one in this position there is about 6 of us. Just wondering if anyone can get in touch with this pr*ck to tell me what's going on. My order number is 2889. yellowsic I have sent you a few PM's as you say he is a close friend of yours. He has till tomorrow to sort this out. If not sorted then cancelling credit card transaction. I really hope nobody else has ordered something from turn2 recently cos you have a very very long wait.......
VR6 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Do we need another thread to slate Turn2? http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ht=#146387
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 2, 2004 Bad news mate. You're definitely in the minority there as a number of us have ordered stuff from T2 without problem. I would cancel the transaction if you can and source an alternative. Such as this Carbonio intake from Awesome - http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20corrado/engine.html I've ordered loads of kit from Awesome and they are an excellent mail order company and take the time to actually talk to you and give advice. Carbon is a better heat deflector than metal anyway...and sounds better.
greegs 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Yes we do VR6. Cheers Kev that Carbonio intake actually looks better than the turn2 one. Didn't even know it existed !
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 2, 2004 Yeah Tom, show a little compassion Greegs, stick around mate.... we're full of useful (and not so useful) information  Quite tempted by the Carbonio myself too actually  Another superb induction kit is the BMC carbon CDA. You will like that! Sounds awesome.
greegs 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Quick question about the carbonio kev. Does the filter sit where the carbon canister should be? The same as the turd 2 kit? Yeah Tom $279 is a lot of cash
VR6 0 Posted September 2, 2004 $279 that I've spent myself and had great customer service from Turn2. Regardless of that, I still don't see what this thread does that the other doesn't! Kev lol
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 2, 2004 "Turd 2" PMSL....funny  As far as I know Greegs, the Carbonio is a replica of the Turd 2 CAI, so yeah the filter would go in the same place. You can either relocate the carbon canister or remove it completely. Either option is easy to do. Tom you grumpy bast, LOL! This thread has given Greegs some more avenues to explore, so a triple to you, LOL!

PhatVR6 0 Posted September 2, 2004 My US contact is good buddies with the guy who runs Turn2. I'll try and get a message acroass to him.
yellowslc 0 Posted September 2, 2004 I spoke with jim yet again this morning. FYI aol instant messenger handle is "get mounted" he is on during normal business hours. I have noticed in the past when shipping abroad via USPS that even with a tracking # if the parcel is in customs, that information is rarely indicated. And more often than not, the parcel arrives a day or two ahead of the tracking confirmation. R
