Wahey! engine dilemma sorted!

Recommended Posts

My mates finally decided to sell me his spare crank. I found it new in a box at inters 3 years ago, but I gave him the option of buying it as I didn't have the money (or need it).

The good old chat has been touched by my plight and decided I can have it in return for some other parts he was meant to be buyin off me.

So, project 3.0T has started. forged pistons and cunningham/carrillo rods on the way! I wall accept no less than 500bhp at the crank :D

For now, I've sourced another VR lump just to get the car back on the road. I've got the enginge in, just need to connect up all the ancillaries and wiring and away I go!

Congrats.. hope it wasn't too costly an exercise!

Are we gonna get to see the new wheels now / soon then? :)

So.. is your .sig going to have to be overhauled (again)...? :)

Is there a world record for "number of different engines fitted to car in shortest time"? ;)

LOL!

Are you going for JE 9:1 pistons?

What turbo are you going with?

I reckon when my block expires it's gonna have to be a 3.0..... seems pointless sticking the same thing back in again. May aswell add some extra oomph whilst it's out

You'll also need to get the 4x4 installed before getting a 3.0T in there, otherwise it'll be plain insane!

I have the option of a T04e turbo for $1100. but I may go daft and go for a GT series one for 600bhp plus.

it all depends if the 4WD will take it of not.

my box was built to take 400.
