LJ 0 Posted September 6, 2004 ... hates corners :( The cars an SE spec so has a soft ride but feels like it has no ARBs. Would a set of H&R springs be a good move with the original length dampers? Or possibly the Bilstein Streetline kit...? Thought about just fitting the ARBs from the 1.8T Sport or other similar VAG. It's the family barge and can't be too firm as wife is about to drop Mini-Me soon. .... and it's running 225/45R17 tyres :)
Scott 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Should have bought the sport trim mate.... my mate just bought one and its superb. Apparently the SE is under damped so would change the dampers first. Some KONI ones should do.
chrishill 0 Posted January 7, 2005 i'd be wary of the bilstein streetline kits, got mine from euro car parts and the ride isnt great, feels realy under damped, although the cornering is more stable now. the streetline kit consists of standard length bilstein shocks and (in the corrado's case) -40mm 'ventura' springs, in hindsight i wish i'd saved a little more for koni's/h&r.
