solder a pieace of fuse wire across the two joins, this will act as the burnt out path and make the unit work again.

Failure to disconnect the battery before trying to remove it at a guess.

 

As I was after the ultrasonics and the remotes it's no biggie - they're fine.

 

I anyone wants a f. loud Laserline siren - without the option to mute it :shock: - I now have a spare.

 

I worry about the state of the car it was removed from though - there are bits of the car's loom still attached to the wires for the immobiliser circuits...
