Hi

Does anyone know if you can get plastic parts "chrome plated" - I would like to get a set of heater control switches ( the later round type) done.

Also I have heard that an Astra chrome gear stick gate (from richbrook - I think) will fit the corrado - again does anyone know if its true and if so which model?

I dont think you can get get plastic chromed to my knoledge but trim sport are either in the process of making the polished dials for the heater controls or have already got them for sale. Contact lance at sales he's quite up to date with all their products!!

yes its very possible to chromate plastic its best that its ABS natural to start with but im sure that black aint a problem as long as you can copper plate it first it will be fine. :D

Looked into this for a friend with chrome mirrors on her MX5, it can be done, but only certain types of plastic. From memory I searched for this on the web and found a few firms that can do it, one helpful firm was in Milton Keynes, but I cant remember the details.

Extreme heat used during either copper or chrome plating will melt the plastic dials. Chrome effect can be done on plastic items with a process called "vacuum plating"
