1. Also, for info I think Chris (lilfuzzer) on here has some matching fronts, and he's based in Bishop Auckland...
2. I've got these 'Atout' grey rears from my 95 8V, good condition, smoke / pet free car. Collection from near Silverstone...
3. Check for split turbo hoses / hoses that have slipped off - is there any excessive smoke?
4. The spine runs left to right and the 'handle' is circled in red (1) half way down this thread (Corrado club of Canada image). This moves left to right about 10mm to lock over the connector keyways. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4188696-Does-my-fusebox-look-wierd&p=54254673&viewfull=1
5. Have a look at the rear of the fuse board, make sure all the multiplugs are home and the black release 'spine' pin that locks them into the board is home (it slides about 10mm and should be flush with the end of the board if it's in locked position). From memory the yellow plugs cover lights. Also check the multiplug to the rear of the instrument clocks is correctly seated. The multiplugs are a pain to plug in (limited access under the dash) and can easily be incorrectly seated before the spine pin is pushed home, if it looks like someone has recently worked on the fuse board it could be an issue with this. Just found the link to the CE2 info http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html
6. Saw a Green (I think - it was dark) M plate VR6 at the Woodlands gym at the Gaydon site today looked tidy and fairly standard - seems there are a few on site now, saw a Twilight VR6 parked up on Tuesday evening too...
7. My 8v has a VIN less than 10 away from that, the body was built on 27/10/94 and it was registered in the UK 05/01/95.
8. Hi, is the passenger wing available? Also what suspension are your running and is this available? Andy
9. Big thanks to Chris (lilfuzzer) for sorting out the hump rear seat and Jetex system for me (and being patient waiting while I got the opportunity to collect them). A credit to the forum, top guy. Also thanks to Purple Tom for replying to my wanted ad for the rear beam, and also coming up with the goods with a headlight switch, again top guy.
10. Now sourced - thanks to lilfuzzer's Corrado parts emporium! Really good guy, credit to the forum. Cheers Chris!.
11. ll sorted now, many thanks to Purple Tom - top fella!
12. Have you considered resin casting them with a silcone mould from the original? You should get a better surface finish and a lower cost parts.
13. Hi, I'm looking for a bare rear beam suitable for a late model 8v / 16v car. I want to rebuild the beam with new hubs and brakes so don't need them on there, also I'm looking at getting it blasted and powder coated so no bushes (or worn bushes) is OK but ideally not too much rust. Midlands based if possible - let me know what you've got. Thanks Andy
