  3. Hey guys I have a 2.0 16v m reg that I am restoring.. Painful at times but I am dedicated 😂👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Here are a few of the parts I need and any help will be appreciated, even if it's just online site details of suppliers!! Skuttle tray and rubber seal that runs along the top. Bonnet cable Centre console inside the car. Where the radio and ashtray are located Sunroof motor Stainless steel exhaust manifold I'm also thinking of up rating the brakes front and back so any suggestions would be great
  4. ah that would explain not having one lol. I bet whoever reads this will think Im a right idiot lol. Well on the other hand its still running lumpy and hesitant tested the h.t leads and they seem fine. The engine changed sounds as i pulled them one by one...any way of checking the isv valve? I want to upgrade to the vr but i want this one running smooth before i sell it

    H.t leads

No its the baby 2.0 16v. Thinking of upgrading to the vr tho. Want to get it running right before selling. Ok i tested the h.t leads by pulling them one by one while car running. With each lead there was difference in engine sound..so there are fine??? Is there anyway to test the isv?? The symptoms match the h.t leads diagnoses...so i am confused :(
  6. Can anyone tell me if Im missing an air flow meter?? Or where it is?
  7. Hi mike. I have a 2.016v i also had a lot of problems with stalling. I replaced a lot of electrical points in the engine bay and stopped the stalling problem now i just have irradic Idling.

    H.t leads

Ok may seem a simple and obvious one but what are the tell tale signs that they need replacing?? Loss of power??? Irradic idling?? Lumpy sounding??
  9. So just an update guys. Been down to the car today. Went through the engine bay and found all obvious earth connections. Cleaned them all up. Covered that red and yellow wire that is inside the drivers side of the car...the one that Jim has advised me to cover up. Took the car for a drive. Idling lovely. Didnt stall once..but its early days yet. Shall see how i get on during the week. Did find a oil leak tho...finish one job and start another lol
  10. Thanks mate. That clears up a lot of confusion. Ok so next step check the earth points tonight.
  11. Thanks buddy. I will check mine. What does the wiring look like?
  12. Hey Jim :)...I've also lost a live feed to my millometer...every time i turn the engine on and off the clock and millometer resets itself

    fuse box??

ok so i have this red and yellow wire that is now not connected to anything after i have taken out my immobilizer. i have just put the multi meter on it and when the engine is running its reading 12.55 so surly this red and yellow wire should be connected to something??? i have uploaded a pic of it. the wire comes down alongside the wires that go into G1....i have checked the central electrical online page and it notes a red and yellow wire in G1.03 or G1 04...but there already is a black wire in that port.....I AM SO CONFUSED can someone please advise me on the location of this wire?? could this wire be the cause of the stalling?

    fuse box??

ok so today i took some readings using a multi meter and played around with a few things...( normally makes matters worse ) after i had took the air flow pipes of and cleaned them through and made sure they were reconnected correctly and checked all sensor plugs (condition and how they were connected) i took the car out for a good drive..the erratic idling seemed to be gone but i still stalled at the lights.. here are the multi meter readings and i will try to upload pics of what i took the readings from. ok so the plug on the end of the ivs sensor reads 13.34 the plug on the air sensor..i will upload of a pic of this as i dont know the correct name..read 13.37 my alternator reads 13.83 my headlights read 13.80 a blue sensor reads 13.37 like i said i will try to upload a few pics but i still can not work out why the old girl is just stalling i am now going to try and use the multimeter on the fusebox.. not sure if this is poss but i need to know if somewhere there is something missing or going wr
