  1. Hello all Current cover split during recent storm Looking at this for replacement: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123943276487 Few questions: 1. Is this a decent cover? 2. Would a medium size be too big? 3. Will this do the job to have over the car over winter? Its a project restoration so non driving Open to other options but don't want to break the bank! Thanks
  2. Quick thing guys, anyone know if front mk4 calipers would also fit? Or have a suitably cheap upgrade? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  3. Is handbrake cable any different? Plan on putting new ones in at the same time Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  4. Makes sense I guess. I have had one seize while doing 70 and billowing smoke down the road...... scary stuff when you think it's about to catch fire and you have no water Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  5. Hello all, Need to redo my rear calipers and been reading on people using mk4 golf calipers. What are the actual advantages, if any?? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  6. Righto. Will have a scout and see what I've done. Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  7. Hello all. Got a funny one for you, have installed some headlight upgrade wiring and now suddenly when you hit the foglights switch, the horn goes off! I nearly s@#t myself and it's confused me how it's happened as I've only taken out a crappy one which a previous owner had made himself and it was dismal lighting. Have I disconnected an earth somewhere or not done something correctly?? Cheers Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  8. Yeh I had the flaps redone last time, the foam had completely disintegrated! Much better with a cloth cover on them! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  9. Got valeo one ordered. Fingers crossed will be alright. Gonna try the method of taking heater box out without having to take the dash out. Was just a pain last time! Will see which method I'll find better haha Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  10. Exactly my plan. I want to spend that bit more on quality and not have to worry about it going bang on me for a long time. Cheers Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  11. Hello rado lovers! Heater matrix has started leaking again, happened 2 years ago so did the job of replacing hoping I wouldn't have to do it for my years. Sods law that it's now packed in and leaking everywhere! I want to buy a new one but don't want to buy one to find its crap. Euro car parts seem to do 2 for mine, they don't seem any different. (See pic.) Any suggestions on best place to go to for a quality one? Cheers Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  12. OK guys, I know some will say there are other links on the forum but I've tried a search and can't find what I'm after.... So, essentially the rado's jacking points have seen better days and I don't want to damage them any further. What is the best alternative place to jack and place axle stands? Pictures and links appreciated. Many thanks. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  13. Hello all. Installed a premade after market headlight loom from a seller on ebay as was told was a good maker. First thing, all is well but when I switch to full beam, the driver side comes on but the passenger side goes off completely, when switch back to dim, they both light up again. Checked fuses all OK. Have disconnected from the mini capacitor in the passenger wing. Have I missed a step? There are 2, 2 pin plugs by the battery, do I disconnect or keep connected? (See picture) Also does anyone know where I can get a new spring clip for the 4 pin plug? Or a new plug that i can use the spring off? It's gone astray somewhere (See picture) Cheers! 14. Hey all. Done a twin dellorto carb conversion and need a new rad as the car runs at 100 degree when travelling and also blocks one pair of my carbs. Have seen some people use an alloy rad for a Honda civic. Just wondered if it would cool car enough being smaller but the alloy would out weigh that issue? Any help and ideas would be awesome. Or even pictures of what you guys have done? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  15. No worries. Long way for potentially wrong roof [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
