1. ... sigh ... if only. Of the 5 that we know of, two are members cars (but off the road), a third the owner's son did join many years ago, posted twice then disappeared. Another one haven't heard hide nor hare of since 2007, last seen around Cardiff, then there's my old one, in Ireland, but don't think the owner's on here...

  2. C'mon Jim, you know that that kind of information is lost many years ago in the mist of time. It IS Majik's old car, and I thought it a bit odd that the chappy had put the interior up on fleabay so quickly after posting it on FB.

Lots of misinformation flying about though 8-)

  3. Also found this show guide. When I had my G60 I put it on the 1/4 mile sprint against a mk1 golf 2 litre with nitrous oxide. I thought I was doing well as I was halfway along with a 150 metre lead until he switched his nitrous on and left me for dust!

    Happy memories:o

'98 was when I won the Concours with my Scirocco Storms.

  4. Tasteful modifications for me are good, and there are few better examples out there than Goldie's car.....those wheels are just amazing8)

Ah yeah, the Nothelle Classics. I did have a set lined up for my G60, just before selling to get the Campaign.

As for fave, you can't beat a Campaign OEM :) Just (slightly biased admittedly) IMHO of course

  5. Hi guys. I know a bit about these. I went to see one which was owned by Jeremy Bromley (ex secretary I think of the Corrado club) years ago. I bought it on a "buy it now" on eBay I think for £7k. It had been written off and repaired and said to be immaculate car. It wasn't ! It rattled, panels didn't fit, basically a right pile. Shame.

The one in Ipswich is also correct, and owned by a lady I was told far from the VW scene.

    Hope that helps.

I've just seen this, and rather take offence at this. I should point out that the original advert stated that it was "in need of work to make it immaculate" if somebody wanted to go that way. The fact that the guy was pi**ed when he clicked on BuyItNow on ebay rather wasted about 3 weeks of my time. He was pretty offensive when he came down to see it as well. Shame...

The car ended up in Southern Ireland as I understand it.

  6. James, the 6pack.pdf file came from me, and is a reproduction of an article that was in VW/Audi Car back in the day. I'm fairly certain that there was a (very) brief write up in VW Motoring at the same time, but that's all I've ever been able to find. As far as I'm aware the registration in the PDF was never actually a "real" numberplate, on a car - K2 CKD was the car from Coventry, mine was K191 EHE (from memory), I'm fairly certain they all carried K plates originally.

I'm fairly certain that all are accounted for in the UK, apart from mine (Gilders of Sheffield car) which was last seen in Ireland.
