Photo bucket is not working so no pics. Car goes into my mates garage tomorrow for the following - MOT Full service, all filters incl fuel, quantum oil and spark plugs. New rear calipers painted black New rear carriers painted black New caliper fitting kit New carrier bolts New braided hoses all round New rear grooved and drilled Brembo discs New rear Brembo pads and fitting kit New disc retaining screws all round New rear brake shields New front Brembo grooved and drilled discs New front Brembo pads and fitting kit New handbrake cables New ball joints New drop links New brake fluid Not too bad a list. Once it's home next week, I've got the new dash speaker wiring double adapters so I can fit the speakers, new accelerator rubber pedal and then need to get my spare Speedlines into the refurber to get them painted grey with diamond cut rims and the new Proxes popped on.

Lol I'm sure I will be able to get a good enough idea with it on with 1 bolt and hold it on the jack. Usually I would have went for s bigger wheel with no spacers but fancied refurbing the spare Speedlines grey with diamond cut rim.

Thanks for that. I was going to try the 5 X 112 spacers with a bolt holding them just to get a look and I didn't think I would be able to use more than 10s.

Hi Wee question for you. I'm keeping my Speedlines with the standard tyres on my VR6 with lowered Bilstein B12 kit on it. What width spacers can I use front and rear to create a better look ? I've got 10s on the front and 20s on the rear of my daily mk7 GTD but I'm unsure re the Corrado. Thanks folks.

I'm similar as I do and have done brakes before but feel better when my mechanic buddy does them. I always worry about breaking bolts etc and struggling to sort it. Weekends are my only time off and my sons take up a lot of my time with their sports so it doesn't leave to much spare time.

Exciting for you to get it finished :thumbleft: I would have liked to fit all the brakes myself but I've not got the time and I wanted it done now, so I can then concentrate on the other bits and pieces.

Front and rear abs sensors arrived for fitting and rear calipers and carriers are all painted.

So popped the strut caps and oil cap on and cleaned down the scuttle area of old leaves. Fitted the new dash speakers but need double adapters and only had single so took them back out until the new adapters arrive. Fitted the passenger side cup holder and metal number plates. Put the first coat of black in the new rear calipers and carriers.

Thanks for that, I've got the new abs rings and I'm winning out and getting my area garage to do the work as I'm strapped for time.

Agreed they really suit the car IMO. Going to pop the metal plates on, new strut caps, oil cap, passenger cup holder and dash speakers today. Might trial fit spacers to see what size I need, I've spacers from my GTD so can use them to get a rough look at 20mm on the rear and 10 on the front ?? Handbrake cables arrived and front brembo pads, can't remember if I said but ordered abs sensors all round to fit. Box of underside parts is growing.

Cheers and I will get it all done before show season to 2016 spec then I will think what to get done through next winter for 2017. Always improving it but never ruining it :thumbleft:

It is looking great it obviously has marks left on it as the paint was so thin that I told him not to take the risk of burning through. Same goes for the glass, he was worried about damage.

It does in the pic and it's pretty decent tbh but I would prefer leather but when the existing interior is in great condition it's prob not worth it. I've just bought all round abs sensors to pop on when it's in the garage, so the only thing I will need to do is clean down and paint the front carriers and calipers black once it's back. Once it's back from the garage I will fit the refurbed steering wheel and get the door cards off for fitting the door speakers and looking at the passenger window. Then Alpine headunit to be bought and fitted just leaving the heater direction and short shifter to fit. Spare Speedlines will get refurbed at some point soon too.

So I'm picking up the car early tonight as it couldn't be 3 stage corrected due to the original paint. The detailer really had to take his time in fixing the paint and the glass. He also deep cleaned the full interior and dressed the engine bay. Finally he ceramic coated the car. I will paint up the new rear calipers and carriers black, this weekend and refit the badges, strut top caps and the dash speakers hopefully. As I'm too busy I've got it going into my local garage to get all the underside parts fitted, new stat and housing, which is a shame that I not doing it but with my sons sports I'm struggling for free time. Here's some of the detailers pics.

Cheers for that. Apart from the 2 sections that I got sorted is original and wasn't bad before I put it in to the detailers but I just wanted to get any swirls or small scratched removed if possible leaving a very good condition 21 year old coat of paint. Hopefully that's what it will be come the weekend.

Car progressing at the detailers but as expected the paint is very thin and soft being original so full paint correction cannot be used, so he's using CarPro Essence on a soft polishing pad.

Cheers it's my fav Corrado colour and I was just lucky to have this one pop up especially with its condition, mileage and history, when I was looking for a Vr6.
