  1. A wee 1994/5 price list popped through the door as well as the non-standard wiper motor cover.
  2. That's the car booked into the bodyshop at the start of November to get the rust blister sorted on the tailgate and the dings removed. Once that's completed I can get it booked in for a week at the detailers getting the paint corrected, glass polished and engine bay steam cleaned.
  3. That's a decent idea, thanks for that. I will see if there are any around when I return from my hols.
  4. I'm getting more scared of tackling the rear beam the more I read :bonk: Nothing needs doing but I like to try and get my cars to their best condition and when I do a job I try to do that job properly. It all started with wanting to paint the calipers and now I'm considering going to the moon
  5. Thanks very much, bizarrely that one never came up on my search ?
  6. If I come to do the rear beam I can't find a brake bias valve for the VR6, I've seen Corrado ones but they say they don't fit mine ?
  7. I learn something everyday, cheers
  8. Thanks Jim I'm now scared to bits  I need to give the underside a good looking through and see what needs done. I will message my mechanic mate to see if he would give me a hand. I could just get the garage that I use to do the axle rebuild as I get a great deal but I want to paint it all up.
  9. Thanks for that. I was going for standard bushes which def need done as the originals aren't looking too clever. What sort of tool is required ?
  10. Got the short shifter and passenger window regulator coming from Dave and also a set of Bowden cables for the heater controls. Ordered rear caliper carriers and a wiper motor cover as it's missing. Once I'm back from my hols I'm going to order up everything for the rear axle rebuild but only if I have the guts to try it myself, which I'm not sure about. I'm no mechanic so need to see if I can tackle it ??
  11. Productive day on the car. Estimate done and car hopefully going in for the paint repair on the tailgate blister and the dings in November. Had the car on the ramps and I will put new drop links on and another ball joint to match the new near side one. I refurbed the Lupo wiper arms and fitted them with new bolt covers and blades. New pedal rubbers and wind deflectors on and priced up the full brake rebuild as well. Cleaned down the underside of the bonnet, slam panel and wing tips and waxed them for protection.
  12. Found original ones from the Greek guy http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/301738727368 http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/331653024362 Remember you only pay postage once when ordering from him.
  13. Heko wind deflectors arrived and Lupo wiper arms for me to refurb this weekend. Then pop them on with the new wipers and arm caps.
  14. http://www.ebay.de/ulk/itm/151824899019 http://www.ebay.de/ulk/itm/151824900514 Is this them ?
  15. I was watching them on German ebay but I removed them, I will try and find them again. Incl postage they were £15 iirc
  16. Saw this at Cleanfest and it was lovely. I had the concours Vw Gold series 1 in Inari Silver bu now have a Storm Grey VR6 and loving it so far.
  17. Looks sweet and agree with the Porsche wheels ^
  18. You can get them new from Germany, I saw them yesterday.
  19. At last I can get the car to the bodyshop this Saturday to get an idea on how much work is involved and cost. Also when it can get done as he's fully booked for 6 months for full respray but can do small jobs like mine at the same time
  20. More wee touches. New wiper arm caps and washer nozzles. I've bought lupo wiper arms for refurbishing and putting on. Tried a Fabia VRS 16" alloy on the car tonight to see if it looks much different to the standard 15", not to sure tbh.
  21. I saw a vr6 front grill badge for sale yesterday for £119 new :bonk:
  22. I need advice on wheel and tyre size for looking out for wheels. Currently the car sits on speed lines with Bilstein B12 suspension. What are the perfect sizes for 16's and 17's for wheels with tyres with no rubbing and will have kids in the back quite a lot. Thanks for any help.
  23. Thanks for that. I try to do my best with them all but I just wish I was more skilled but you are what you are. I just need a chance to get to the bodyshop to start the ball rolling with getting the paint looking decent.
