    Service history

    Schrick cam

    Wossner racing pistons

Bored out to a 1.9 head skimmed etc.

    68mm pulley + chip

    Boost return delete

    Milltek downpipe

    Decat pipe

    Full exhaust system (new)

    4 x brand new hankooks

    New JOM fully adjustable coilovers

    Front mount intercooler

Interior is the full black leather interior in very good condition. Overall the car is in very good shape, underneath is very clean for the year and i went over it with the wax oil spray.

Exterior has minimal marking, rear quarter panel has a small mark on the arch and drivers door has small scrape. Paint work is in great condition for the year and got a full buff and wax before being garaged for the winter. Has been polished on a regular basis since. Very strong pulling power delivery throughout the rev range.

  2. Hi guys i have the above car as a runner whilst the Corrado is garaged for the winter. Just seeing if anyone in here can give me some advice on an intermittent starting problem..

Basically some mornings the car starts no issue and runs fine but the odd time i go out (mainly whilst sitting for 8-10 hours) it will try to start but just cranks and cranks and no matter how long you try it won't fire. It will however start whilst bump starting on the tow or down a steep hill. After its warm it starts like it should. I could go out the next morning and have no issues what's so ever for days then boom will just happen randomly again.

Open to all suggestions. Car has high miles and was not expensive but i just want it reliable enough to start when i turn the key.

    Thanks to any answers !!

  3. It's actually only the lower bit that kind of comes out that has some rot and the radiator is up from it. I guess it must have some use but i don't recall the bumper resting on it or anything, may be wrong. Oh well i can patch it up whilst still on the car hopefully.

  4. So removing the front bumper today as i have started operation fit a front mount and distaster has struck removing the 4 bolts that hold it on. Got 3 off and on the last one it decides to snap on me and the head of it comes of in my socket.

Any body and tips how i go about fixing the issue? :(

  5. So i need a new chip for the car as i have done a few different things to it since i got it, going well but think it would benefit from an upgraded chip. So as i understand its not plug and play and requires getting set up correctly, does this mean just the fueling etc needs fiddled with? Ie.my own mechanic could do this? He has a rolling road but tunes mainly jap. Does the car need remapped with software specific to a g60 as there would be no tuners here in Northern Ireland.

    Thanks

  6. Digi lag is a momentary hesitation when the engine goes full lean, SNS chips eliminate this by writing it out of the chip's code. Some days the car goes really well, others it hits a wall.

I had it on my first turbo'd 8v g60 engine, bought a used Pitstop developments st.5 chip and the car was transformed. Digilag could easily wipe out your pistons/ringlands in a couple of seconds, it leans out under full power and detonates.

I would have thought a place like Jabbasport would have changed the chip but you never know..

Open the ecu and check the eeprom inside mate.

Indeed do as Dox suggested but if it were the leads I reckon it'd be more of misfire than fuel lean off hesitation.

There are many other things to check too, for, fuel pressure under load, fuel injector wiring harness falling to bits and shorting, partially blocked fuel injectors..

If you can, this would be ideal, connect up a wideband afr gauge and see what kind of fueling mixture you have under full load, that way you'll if it's fuel related or something else.

Ok will check and take pics of epprom tonight and check some of the things that have been mentioned. I find it strange that the car was going real well, pulled like a train and only last 2 days its developed this hesitation on full load. Didn't like full throttle at all. I checked the WOT switch and full contact is being made on when I manually move the accelerator cable. Will post later, thanks for all replies so far.

  7. Sounds suspiciously like Digi lag, what chip is in the ecu?

The chip and pulley kit came Jabba sport. That's what the receipt says anyway and there a list of mods underneath it, standard head, wossner pistons, 4 branch and green injectors, and schrick cam.

But I know there's been head work (full rebuild and bored out) and exhaust has been fitted after that.

    What is digi-lag?

    Thanks

  8. Clean all earths on side of head and battery tray.

Check oxygen sensor operation and clean ground .

Check vacuum lines for splits to ecu . Should be 1 meter long exactly.

Check fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

Check wot switch on throttle with a multimeter.

These g60 are strange when they get to this age,I'm also having starting problems that I need to resolve.

Ok I will get straight on to those things tomorrow. Thanks for that. Yes funny old thing but we love them.
