  1. I picked up a MH for my 1.8 16v off an old MK2 for £30..You should be able to pick one up for munch cheaper than you have been quoted! Good Luck
  2. Without reading all the above posts, remove the ashtray at the back and there is another screw to be removed..Let us know how u get on..
  3. Thanks for the reply, i will give it a go on the next dry day we get and let you know how i got on..
  4. I'm not prepared to pay the garage £45 an hour to do jobs that can be done at home. So can someone confirm whether an amature like myself, can replace the metering head on a 16v? Is it just a case of remove and replace? Cheers
  5. Cheers for that aide..The mixture ratio, mines out and i can't adjust it as the screw in the metering head has seized up! I think you may have put me off with the idea though?
  6. Bally, I have the K&N panel filter on my 16v but haven't heard of drilling the box (amature)! Can you explain what to do?
  7. Thanks for the replies..Going to have a look at audioscape first and if this fails will then try to make my own! Cheers
  8. My girlfriend bought me a set of Infinity 5000c series components for christmas last year to go in my clio. I moved on to the corrado in June and have made some time to fit the components. However, the mids don't fit and was wondering what can be done as i don't want these speakers going to waste! Cheers

    Mixture Ratio

I know this has been asked before but i can't remember the % everyone was giving. My corrado is going in on Monday to have the mixture ratio sorted out as it is running a little too rich. Just wanted to know what it should be set at for a 1.8 16v?
  10. Will do mate. Did have a look at your list and the closest was bridgewater!
  11. Have now got 1 week 5 days until i can start driving my corrado and the excitement is getting to much! Im not aware of many VW specialists in Bristol that will be able to give my car the quality servicing it requires. If anyone lives in Bristol and is aware of a good VW specialist then please can you let me know? Thanks

    Mixture Ratio

I have recently purchased my Corrado and have been told that the mixture ratio needs sorting out. It is causing a black grit to appear on the rear end of the car. I took it to a garage and they said that the screw on the metering head has seased up and they wont attempt to adjust it. Any ideas how this can be overcome without snapping the screw?
