  1. are we talking upwards of 5k for a mint unspoilt G60 or VR?
  2. I've now seen alot of high mile-ers (100K plus) and know im looking at a car thats over 10 years old but 4K is surely gonna see me in to the 70K mark.....isnt it. Are these cars a very hard drive compaired to say a golf mk3 gti? and test driving what should i be looking and listening 4 (any nasteys i should know of)?
  3. WELL WELL WELL the saga continues. I might just go 4 a Fiat coupé or an alfa GTV lol
  4. i hear brentacre are a good company 2 use as u dont have to pay £25 every time u mod something and its run by VW enthusiasts specialising in VW's have u any probs from them? i was quoted £750 fully comp with AD FLUX and a 300 quid XS!!!! (6 years ncb & 28 years of age)
  5. hmm, im sure that she said group 16 for both they were using highway insurance
  6. ADRIAN FLUX Walesy, its exactly the smae price 2 insure a G60 or a VR6. Both are a bit higher that id rather be paying for some1 who has nearly 7 years no claims!. If the theroy of the G60 is that it has the lower rev range power would this mean alot of the examples left on the market would have been ragged or driven with a heavy right foot in city driving for example.
  7. ahh ok chris, u jogged my memory!! just had a chat to my insurance broker and the G60 and the VR6 are both group 16 insurance so quie high and the bloody fiat coupe i had my eye on is a group 19! FFS so its between the G60 and the VR6 but like the idea of low end grunt that im guessing the G60 will have. The VR being a screamer! lol
  8. i know that most are 2.8 arnt they? i read about the different sizes. isnt that due to euro cars and uk cars? the supercharger just sounds like an expensive bit of kit. Does n e 1 know of the servicing costs and how long the thing lasts 4?
  9. so would any1 say that the VR6 is a better (easyer car to maintain and run) than the G60, bearing in mind insurance costs and parts and labour costs. ive always liked the corrado and i currently drive a Mk3 GTI 2.0L 8V http://www.clubgti.com/forum/forum_post ... 99538&PN=1 its 4 SALE. Would a 1.8L G60 be better to upgrade into as oppsed to a 2.0L 16v or a 2.8L VR6.???
  10. is that ur gear change chrishill? wheres 5th? :afro:
  11. i want to sell my golf 3 GTI n upgrade to a bigger engine such as the VR6 or G60 corrado. I hear a G60 is a better more solid engine is this true and what other facts should i know b4 getting into 1? Ive only driven 1 other 16V corrado so am a newbie to the car. Help on what 2 look 4 and what 2 avoid would be great. My budget is 4K cheers. Mark
