  1. Injectors are fine, like i said, theres compression, spark and fuel in the cylinders. I turned over the camshaft by hand to check if it would stop or become difficult. If this was the case then it would mean the timing was out by 180degrees and the piston would be hitting the valve. as this wasnt the case it's not a problem. I also checked the shims on the valves and they seem fine. As for timing i checked timing for both, theres no point checking one seperately then the other, and all is fine. Fuses and relays have now been looked at and tested and they are also fine. :? This is why i am confused as to why the engine isnt running. Everything the engine needs to run is there yet it still doesnt. It's like banging my head on a wall repetatively!
  2. I'm pretty sure it on the right way round. the bearing caps wont clamp down in any other order. tried that already.
  3. Hi guys. I recently replaced the head gasket on my g60 corrado. When i first started it up it was running fne for about 5 mins then the engine conked out  . I had a go at turning over the camshaft by hand and it seemed a bit tight so i took the rocket cover off and loostened the cams a bit by putting some aluminium under the clamps(very thin). this loostened off the camshaft so it would turn over. i put it back togehter and tried to start it again and nothing :( . I have checked compression levels and they seem ok. checked plugs for spark and they ok, fuel pump is working, battery seems fine, timing ok, changed the fuel. I run out of ideas so any help is very much appreciated! Thanks in advance! Tommo
  4. Thats mine. Doesnt read psi just bar ,lol. I only seem to get 0.5 Bar is this right? I dont know psi/bar differences ,lol. Thanks :thumbleft:
  5. Ooo. Ohter question. What do i need to do with the breather pipe for the vdo and for the rocker cover? I have just removed the boost return pipe and would like to leave it out. Should i just use a mini K&N?
  6. Managed to check engine. Luckily no bit of charger got in. :thumbleft: It seems it all got stuck in the IC. Just need to go and find a 50" belt to fit tomorrow. The car seems to be running better without the charger too. Thanks for ur help lads :notworthy:
  7. Just incase anyone wanted to see i have supplied pics of the hole in my charger. :onfire: Not fun. Cant say i have seen anything like that before either.
  8. i have no paperwork for the charger. the car has done 130,000 miles yet there is no evidence in the old recipst and things of a rebuild :bad-words: it is a standard gladder as far as i know. the cheapest new charger i can find is £700. owch ,lol
  9. Since i got my corrado i have been having various problems with it. First it wouldnt idle right, then the headgasket went, then the cooing system went tipsey, and now my charger has gone boom. I pulled out of the drive and the car went bang. I opened the bonnet to find a large hole in the top of my chrager :( . Could anyone give me some advice on how to bypass the charger so i can use the corrado as its my only means of transport atm and i cant curently afford to get a new charger  . I have searched on the forum for "bypass" and "supercharger" but have had no luck. Many thanks :!: Tom
  10. Thanx very much mate lol Will try later.
  11. Hi there, I have heard that on the g60 corrado you can get supercharger boost psi on the mfa computer by pushing a combination of buttons on the steering stalk. Is this true and if so how is it done? :? Many thanks
