Yeah the outside diameter of the VR hose fittings are IIRC 14mm and the 16vs are 12mm or something like that, its been a while since I measured them! Im not sure of why they would be different other than the change from MK2 - MK3/Passat braking system
-
Ah I thought yours was a VR originaly so yeah they wont fit :(

If youve got standard Corrado rear calipers...Yes If youve got MK4 rear calipers...No

The black lead from the alternator with the tag is the live feed back to the battery (This charges the system) reattach that wire to the same terminal on the starter motor as the positive battery cable. And hope that this hasnt done any more damage... Hope that helps -
And the swear jar!

Hi Guys, Sorry Ive not got back to you on this sooner...after numerous call to the supplier unfortunately they have decided that they cant give me any discount for large numbers and are actually putting the prices up on the cams, as Dukest has said above its the price you pay for getting products from Britain. So Im sorry to say this is group buy is a no go Im afraid :( Graham DG Autotech

The comp was low on 3,4 and 5 the bores are shiny with no cross hatching left and slight vertical scoring, its probably a combination of this and the valves not sealing up properly etc. The engine also needs the chains doing so the price of this and at the very least a head rebuild, plus some tuning stuff he was thinking of, it comes to similar money as an 24v conversion. So why not put a 24v in, a much more modern low mileage engine :)

It depends how many pies the driver has had! -
I wasnt having a pop at you Kev! You wont see any huge gains over something like SP263's as they are a great cam and weve had great results with them as well, I dont think anyone is going to come up with anything remarkable for a NA VR over what has been done already...weve just come at it from a slightly different angle. The RR results were done as a reference for Ed as he was intereseted and anyone thinking about cams has an idea of what they can do.
-
As has been said a million times before...you cant compare different rolling roads! As a reference we took an 83k stock VR with us as a comparison and it made 184bhp (unfortunatly we couldnt run Ed's before the cams were fitted as the head gasket had failed), previous runs on this rolling road with different stock VR's have made results within 3 bhp of this figure. The rollers are a 1 year old Dynojet setup. So I know you cant compare between different cars etc etc... but if you take the figure above as a rough guide... 212bhp minus 184bhp = 28 bhp The profile of the cams were chosen to increse torque over the entire rev range (and as we know torque is what makes cars quick) so mega bhp figures were not what we were looking for. Anyway we will get some graphs up once they have emailed them to us and you can make your own minds up :)
-
We havent got any figures as yet so any numbers are speculation... Honestly we think 25bhp would be the high end of any gains you would get, and depends on engine mileage and condition etc...so if your engines done 140k+ without a head rebuild etc its not going to gain as much. Welcome to the world of NA VR6 tuning  We'll get some figures up soon :D
