    manuals

    anyone know where i can get some info on the 1.8 engine as there doesnt apear to be a haynes for the car. any links etc for bolt torque settings etc??? a cd advertised on ebay as a manual are they any good?? cheers ps mines a 89 valver
  4. as my 1.8 16v g reg rado is getting on a bit and the engine is weezing has anyone got any ideas as to what to do with it engine wise, there doesnt appear to be many 1.8 engines around anymore and are the spares available anyway to rebuild the engines? does the 2.0 l fit straight in no adaptions atall? any other options such as 2.0 l 8 v etc, funds limited and needs to be as easy as poss, dont ask much do i?? any ideas? cheers jon

  6. hi there, at present the ambient temp gauge on my dash reads -40! not the oil/water etc i guess its the external temp. does this mean the thermostat/thermomter is knackered if so can it be replaced and where the hell is it? cheers jon ps its a 1989 valver.

  8. hi, can anyone help? which of the two oil pressure connections do i use for a pressure gauge? mine is a 1.8 16v on a g plate. i have a gauge showing 0 - 100 i think without looking and a sender to suit, also t piece for sender to fit two but got a yellow wire and a blue wire both going into the filter head? any help would be great, cheers jon

  10. hi, any one got any ideas? on slight revs and at high revs my engine has a slight rattle ( a mettallic tinking i suppose) think its comung from the head somewhere maybe left hand side. i am using the reccomended oil in the book. maybe thicker oil? please dont say its terminal but your advise would be nice as first rado it is an 89 1.8 16v with 130 000 miles. cheers jon
  11. cheers mate, yeh i know what you mean about the nut bieng tight, i have access to a press so hopefully will be ok. local garages charging a small forune for each side. cheers again
  12. hi, doea any one know the size i need socket wise for the main hub nut on the front wheel to change the wheel bearings? my rado is a 89 1.8. has anyone done one on one of these? i have done wheel bearings before just not on a rado. any any ideas? cheers jon
