  1. Update - I ordered 30 and pick them up tomorrow.

I can't understand how VW works. I've been there today to get other parts and asked for the clips and they told me they are obsolete and you just ordered 30 pieces. That's strange.

  2. Hmmmm, I think every car I've ever owned has stalled if you try to pull away without giving it some gas..... Unless I'm missing something here guys?

No, all cars should go if you release clutch slowly. Especially diesel cars or big engined petrol cars. When I had my allroad 2.7t I wery rarely used first gear. Mostly second to drive off. It had so much torque and elasticity in engine.

  3. Could be a master cylinder fault, sticking/deformed seals. It will work on the way down but as you release, it sticks then frees off and engages the clutch with a bang. Just an idea? . . . What did you do the first time to 'cure it?'

Worth looking at. Thanks. Car has 160k miles btw.

  4. Doesn't sound like a clutch to me, the problem would normally be not disengaging if the slave cylinder had gone, i.e. Not being able to get into gear, or slipping if the friction plate was worn, my golf had your symptoms with a vacuum leak on the inlet side, but that was with a motorised DBW throttle body, so it compensated at idle and kept it idling ok until you put it under any kind of load. Any noises, smells or clutch pedal weirdness?

My pcv valve is definitely gone, all glued up with silicone.

I know it's hard to tell anything without driving it. Just looking for ideas if anybody had similar problems and their solutions.

  5. Didn't see that one coming but respect to you sir if what you are saying is correct not that I dis believe you I have totally no reason to you are one of the most decent no bu** guy's on here glad you are back.

Well, I'm from Poland and my father just paid £20 in March this year to do his 2 reflectors in ford transit, and they are much bigger than Corrado ones.

  6. This is standard procedure that can be done in Poland. There are specialized company regenerating reflecting parts for around £10 each so tomi is trying to make a huge profit.

  7. I'll try to describe problem as good as possible :)

I can't do any road millage as car still not insured but was taking it of my garage today and had exactly same problem as on a day I bought it.

I can put first or reverse gear in (driving out or off garage) and I'm starting releasing clutch pedal not adding any acceleration. After I release about 1/3 of full length of clutch pedal engine stalls. You need to accelerate to avoid stalling an you had to be very careful no letting clutch go to fast as it will stall again. In all Corrado's I had before you could easily drive off without any usage of acceleration pedal.

Any suggestions before I'll take gearbox out to fit new clutch.

  8. But an Evo is 1.5 times more Chav than a VR6

And about 5 times better car. Sorry Kev but personal opinions shouldn't be questioned.

Corrado is a great car but Evo 6 is better for me. I love both. They are different and unlikely comparable to each other.

  9. Koni Shocks and Eibach springs that came on the car as well as the spare standard springs.

Thats what I got with a storm I recently bought. Don't know anything about condition as still in a boot of the car and car sitting in garage. Can check after weekend if you interested.

  10. You can roll or flare front arches very easily as front wings are soft.

You can not roll or flare rear arches very easily as they are damn thick and hard. Usually you need split outer arch from inner one using grinder. Then hammer them out and weld together again. Of course new paint is needed after that. All depends how much your wheels sticks out.
