Hi. I was driving home last night and the old beast just died. It did a slight misfire then a few hundreds yards futher it just stopped taking throttle and came to a stop! Now it wont start it just judders like hell when i try to start it. as if all of a sudden the timings out or something?!? :? Any body got any ideas/advice on where to start? Its had a new coilpack and leads just 1000 or so miles ago. Hope somebody can help me in anyway on this one! Cheers

Just a question to see if anyone out there has had any bother with their VR Running like a bag of S***T after it pissing it down or after a good wash etc?!? The ecu being in an exposed place wouldnt help matters to much?!?!? What do you's reckon?!? Cheers! :)

Thanks for the reply! Eh yeah I've tried that. new plugs,leads and it got a coilpack not long ago. Sometimes its mostly worse after i've washed it so it could be moisture/water getting into the ecu being that its a quite open and exposed place?!? Im going to try having a shot of my mates MAF of his VR and see if that makes any difference. Cheers!

Hi folks! Im having trouble with my old VR6! It runs absolutely spot on one minute and the next has a massive misfire/fuel surge feeling that feels as bad as its going to rip engine mounts out! :shock: It was doing it quite bad to start off with but if u drove it very and i mean VERY gently it wouldn't do it. so i heard from some1 i work with and maybe info from a post on here that giving the throttle body a good clean can help matters with alot of problems. So i whipped off the intake pipe and gave it a good blast with carb cleaner and a clean cloth! and for a while it seemed like it had solved the problem! Any help much appreciated folks! :)

Well i must say you've made a very good job of that! mines the blackberry aswell. where did you get the paint from for that and do you just stick the eyelid part straight onto the top of the plastic headlight covers?!? Cheers :)

Arite folks! Just a quick question to see if any of you's have fitted this type of front grill yourselfs or if you got a body shop to do it. It comes with a fitting kit which funnily enough the instructions are in german! And theres two tubes of what must be sticking paste?!? Any help appreciated!

Hey! I've got a bit of a problem with my VR6 when its cold it needs throttle to start and then doesnt idle properly untill it has warmed up but am guessing thts just the cold start sensor or wateva. thats not the big problem though....... It runs away fine if you drive it like an absolute granda by tht i mean short shifting upto fifth gear by the time you hit 40mph. When i do put the foot dwn it goes fine and then as soon as i change up a gear and accelerate again it hesitates/misfires as bad as it fells like its guna rip an engine mount out! It seems to me like a lack of fuel. i changed the fuel filter incase it was choked but there was no faults there. Just wanted to see what you guys thought Maybe air flow meter/fuel pump or somthing like that?!?!?!??!?!? Cheers! :D
