  1. the wheels are 16x8 so quite wide but not over the top, im not to bothered about stretching the tyre as ive heard storys about the tyre poping off the rim when hard cornering (something you need to do in a 16v to keep up with u vr6 boys lol) and theres more chance of you wrecking your rim if you kerb it :pale: (fingers crossed that never happens) thanks to everyone for your advice so far
  2. Hi all im buying some new rims for my 16v and was wondering whats the best profile for a 16 inch wheel. i currently have 17s with 205/40s and have AP coilovers fitted so as you can guess its quite a hard ride. I was wondering if a 45 profile would be comfier than a 40 but would i loose much cornering performance??? as at the moment its amazing round the twisties. I will be fitting toyo t1r's by the way no budget crap. any advice would be greatful :D
  3. yea i will prob go for the 205 but i wasnt sure to go for the 40 or the 45 profile as my 17s at the mo are 205/40 and as i have ap coilovers fitted the rides quite hard and i fort the 45 profile would give me some comfort back whilst still being able to corner very well :D
  4. thanks for the tips abdul, i will fit them and see what the look like all black and go from there, i will post some pics when i have them fitted :D
  5. thanks abdul i wil take ur advice and get the wheels ordered, 5mm spacers arent the end of the world if i need them!!! and tbh i like the poked stance rather than the tucked look any way lol, the plans for the wheels are to get the lips/dishes polished and get the centers powder coated/painted the same colour bordeaux/dark burgundy my corrado is. thanks again for your advice
  6. thanks for the reply, ive seen them on rarerims.com for £462 but i want to put some decent toyo t1-r tyres on which i have seen for around £80 each for the 205/45/16 or £70 each for the 215/40/16 tyres.
  7. Hi all Im looking at getting some Rota Lightweight slipstream wheels they weight about 5-6kg each!!!! for my raddo, i was just wondering if the offset of et34 be ok with the 8 inch width or would they rub the arches to bits, i have coilovers fitted so i can adjust the ride any time but i would still like it to sit quite low but without any serious rubbing!!!!!. any help would be greatfull as i dont want to go out and spent £1000 on wheels and tyres and they dont fit very good. Thanks Jay
  8. Hi all, My corrado is a pig to start when stone cold in the mornings well it doesnt even start at all sometimes. When it does start everything is fine it drives perfect when its hot and cold its just starting it from cold i have trouble. Any help would be greatfull :notworthy:
  9. Hi guys i took these pics of mark Gunns corrado at this years Gti international where if i remember it did a 0-60 time of 2.6 and ran a 10.2. I saw it at santa pod earlier in the year and said to everyone i was with watch this corrado fly they all said it looks pretty standard what you talking about, put it this way ive never seen shocked faces like it as it shot up the 1/4 mile. A truly awesome car 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfgti international 175.jpg[/attachment:1tw9d8fx] gti international 176.jpg[/attachment:1tw9d8fx]
  10. Hi im planning on doing exactly the same so any help Please!!!!
  11. hi, i fitted a pair of brembo max discs (which are slightly grooved) on the front of my 16v with green stuff pads and the brakes are so much better than standard but still not as good as the 280mm converstion that i wish i had done. The brembo max discs are £30 each from GSF so much cheaper than the EBC and Black Diamond discs.
  12. Hi i fitted a kr inlet cam into my 9a head and there is more power at the top end than the standard cam and i havent notice any drop in torque. My 2.0 16v is standard apart from kr inlet cam and exhaust (cat back) it made 145 bhp at 5425rpm, 9 bhp up on standard and at a lower rpm the standard cam, it also made 136 ftlb of torque at 4306 rpm, 4 ftlb more than standard and also at a lower rpm. So in my eyes its a defo mod for anny 2.0 16v engine :D
  13. my 9a 16v before clean 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfbefore.jpg[/attachment:tdi61mbg] and now cleaned after 6 hoursafter.jpg[/attachment:tdi61mbg] also cleaned all the inside of the manifold of dirt build up and the car pulls harder now :D
  14. ive rang stealth up and they said they still sort of remap/tune up 9a 16v, he said its £200 because the gains arent huge like on modern turbo engines which i wasnt expecting anywhere but he did say your car wil be more powerful and smoother to drive so i best start saving lol
