hi all
i had the pleasure of seeing both the best and the worst of british motoring on sunday. The best was the gorgeous Bentley GT which had a 6 litre w12 motor under the bonnet. The worst was this chav'd up corsa. The picture really doesnt do its poorness justice. If you look closely at the corsa you can just make out that he has numbers stuck around the rear windscreen in the style of (wait for it!) a rev counter!!!!! His rear wiper simulates the needle!! I didnt know whether to laugh or cry...........so I did both.

i had problems like this recently which gradually got worse to the point where on 2 occasions it just stopped.
I needed a new distributor
I cried

I take it you dont use the load pedal much? Dont think my MFA works properly anyway, never seen it above 28. But i do get a lot less miles than you. I dont do much driving, but when I do its usually quite fast so thats probably the reason.snap
Very rarely over 30!

1st pic is of me and my mum and dad in about 1950  (yes! 1950)We were all born in Dundee, but my father had a job in Leeds at this time.
The pub was "The Vespers", Kirkstall, Leeds. Idyllic memories.
I havnt been to Leeds for 50 years. Anyone know if its still there?
The Vesper Gate pub is still there. I pass it quite regularly. I havent been in it for a few years though. On sundays the carpark is chokkas so I assume its not doing to bad. For those that are interested I found this link.

the slackness in the box could just be gear linkage bushes which are cheap and easy to replace, was it difficult to get into any gears??no, it found them easy enough but it was alot looser then mine. Also the accelerator was heavier and the biting point on the clutch suprisingly higher. It felt more like my mk2 Golf GTi then my C.

Hey all
I test drove a G60 last night. Was wanting your thoughts. Its got 83 on the clock and a FSH. Supercharger replaced last year.(spanish vw dealers as he works in spain every so often) I intend to get a friend/mechanic former g60 owner to look round the car to see if its mechanically sound. My thoughts after driving it though are that it was not as nice to drive as my 94 2.0l 16v. The gearbox was a quite slack compared to mine. The steering a lot heavier (it has 17's on.Mine has 16's) Alot bumpier ride (although standard suspension) and it basically feels like an old car where as mine feels pretty new even though there are only 3 years diff between the two. I was quite suprised by the ride difference in general as I expected it to be pretty much the same as mine. Has anyone on here driven both the later 2l 16v and the 91 G60. Are they alot different? I did the check list and everything seems fine.
Oh i forgot to mention too.... Its BLOODY QUICK!!!! :D
Any feedback is much appreciated!
Thanks

Just this last week occasionally my coolant temp warning light comes on when I start up. It only happens every so often and usually goes off when I turn the engine off and back on again. I have decided not to drive it until I get it checked out.
Could this be a problem with the light. The car got serviced in january and the coolant was done then.
Is it a visit to the stealers?

Was talking to an aussie mate the other day about cars and as most aussies do he mentioned his ute ("pick up" if you dont know). Put in a search on google and low and behold this website was found.
There are a couple of interesting variants. I have seen the Corrado convertible before but not the other ones located towards the bottom of the page.
Enjoy

hey all
Just put some new wheels on. Sadly due to budget I couldnt quite afford the BBS ones so I went for a poor mans alternative. They are made by german company Exip and have Falken ZE-512 tyres.
Hope you like
