  1. Is the sticker literally just the BBS logo or does it include the black (or other specified colour)surround ?

bugger lol i realy dont wanna pay 140 for the above caps but they'll look amazing......god dammit this is all beacause i had one of my caps nicked last weekend.

i supose i could just get some gloss black bbs caps and then put stickers over the bbs of whaterver colour.

    cheers

  2. i dont think that bbs ever made them with those colours? i had searched ebay UK and Germany with no luck.

    @ Alex

are those actual plastic caps or are they just the stickers? its not giving you an option to choose the size or fittment so im guessing its a sticker.

also have you ordered them or know someone who has?.

what im looking for is in the below link but in red

  3. Hey folks

I just contacted Rotiform Stateside about getting some caps made up for me.

i asked for the 70 mm B (3 clips at the back)style fittment in gloss black background and red bbs logo

and they quoted ...... lol 225 dollers delivered. which is about £140

to say the least is was shocked

just wondering if anyone knew of any similar service offered anywhere else

    any input would be great

    Cheers

  4. Again cheers for the help guys

I think i may aswell just go ahead and get all of the pully and belt checked out and changed as i dont really fancy doing it myself.

in regards to the silencer box i'm guessing that there is no difference between the RSR kit's offered by BAR-TEK and BBM ?

as for the charger re-build im going to go for stage 4 and jabbas porting work isn't as highly praised as JMR or G-werks

    Cheers

  5. Its not a MOT fail as you say but i just dont want to have to make any excuses for the car (it must be perfect!)

The recipt i have is litterally just for the belt on its own but i have no proof other than word of mouth that is was done.

Right i'll get some anti belt slip and see if the fan belt is the issue.

68 mm pully was not done by me so it may very well need a shorter belt, i have measured it so i know that it is the 68 mm pully

the reading is taken from a SW gauge boost/vac from the innlet mannifold not MFA so its a bit down on boost then(bugger). The car is totally standard except the 68 mm pully and chip although again i dont have any proof lol.

i have no serivice history for the charger but im getting it done ASAP for peice of mind via G-werks or JMR.

cheers for this guys as im new to getting my head round the G60.

  6. Cheers for the response

Well it's got it's MOT in two weeks thats why its gonna be at the grage, so i guess it'll have to be done then as i havnt got any free weekends before that. i have a recipt for the cambelt (belt on its own) and was told it was changed by a mechanic friend of the last owner last November.

Totally off topic but i did a compression check on all cylinders last week and they all made 160 which i think is pretty good for 120000 miles ?? also making about 11 - 12 PSI on full throttle on a 68 mm pully .....is this what to expect? or could be a leak as it is running the standard silencer outlet.

    cheers guys

  7. Hello all

My g60 is currently cherping/squeaking from a cold start but does quiten down once the car is warmed up.

I think its probably be the cambelt tensioner or idle pully ? or is there another cause ?

approx how much it would cost to have all belts (except cambelt which is new) pullys and tensioner done with a £50 hourly rate at a garage ? (just a rough idea as its going to the garage in 2 weeks)

    cheers guys

  8. Maybe i caught the on a bad day but i just want some service history and any parts changed as you say, but they didnt seem to want to entertain the idea for a second, i'll have to go back in i guess. anyone else done this in order to get a better idea of their Rado?

  9. Its total rubbish, i mean what can i possibly gain from knowing the car servis intervals ? Vindis really do take the ****, i always leave that dealership with a bitter taste in my mouth.

lol they didnt tell me they had lost everything so i guess they might have wanted to save face.

  10. Hello all

i just went to my local Vindis dealer to get some history behind my car(service history ect) i had my passport, drivers licence ,car reg document everything and was told that they cannot give out any information due to the data protection act?

is there any other ways ? do the DVLA hold information ?

    any input would be great

    cheers guys

  11. ah brilliant i think i have some araldyte sitting about somwhere.

bit of a bugger as both windows fell of the same time which made me laugh......well i know what im doing tomorrow.

    cheers guys

  12. Hello

Well basicly the windows have decided to come away from the guides(which still work fine) and i understand that you need to glue the window pain back onto the window guide ?

just wondering if anyone can suggest the prefered glue to use ? or silicon ? im not sure

any input would be great cheers guys

  13. That company is claiming that they will get 0.3- 0.4 bar more boost than a normal G60. what would that be in psi ??

Isn't the max a stock Pg block will take 22 psi ? so im asuming that to run this G65 you would have to have a very high spec PG block with forged pistons ect to run this without mishap and new engine mapping to use this extra power effectivly.

surely this would be have pretty damn good potential ?? on paper anyway.

"We manufacture the RS G65 charger, Dhe chased and housing are machined such that the larger displacement is the place. In addition, the Volkswagen Motorsport contour of the displacement taken over and the four outlet holes were milled greater. The Auslasshälfte is enlarged to 80mm diameter and the intake duct is enlarged to 70mm. The overflow is milled deeper and wider. We have 0.3 to 0.4 bar boost pressure more than an original G60 charger, and thus achieve more power and torque across the entire Drehzahlbereich.Tests are still running on ."

anyone wanna guess what sorta power could be had with this setup?

    cheers

  14. i dont know how this extra displacement would aid the power output in the real world but it would be brilliant to find out as it seems the G60's have been left without some new inovation thrown their way.

That first link explains of a new G75 being researched/produced ?

i would love to have a G75 badge on mine..... im sure that would raise some eyebrows. :norty:

    cheers
