    Jetex Decision

Ordering a Jetex exhaust system tomorrow for the 16v. Have been reading through the exhaust thread (phew), really just after any advice on the centre silencer option. Is there much noise difference between with and without it. Obviously without it noise is gonna increase, drone on motorways etc?? (not that we have any over here!) Cheers masher
  3. BMC CDA air intake, excellent condition. Comes with bracket and silicone hose as shown. Removed from Corrado VR6. Approx 3 months old. £100.00 inc delivery within UK. Masher
  4. Bit more progress, Cam cover cleaned, primed and painted. Inlet started to be cleaned up but ran out of time today. Back on it boxing day.
  5. Recently acquired a 1994 2.0 16v, advertised locally to me and been standing for a couple of months. Gave it a once over, deal done and back to the workshop for a bit of love. some quite obvious changes to be made on first glance! Quick swap for some wheels we had kicking around, new discs/pads and wheel bearings, few things to be sorted asap...front engine mount, exhaust resonating badly but apart from that pretty straight. Polybushes, and suspension on their way, undecided on wheels right now. New front engine mount arrived, all fitted and sorted. Decided it was good a time as any to give it a service as well. Spark plugs removed and came across quite a bit of oil in 1 of the spark plug bores. See if you can guess which plug it was.? Cam cover gasket at fault so the quick oil change etc would have to hold back for a couple of days while a new gasket kit arives. Perfect excuse to clean up and paint cam covers, inlet etc. So decided that the xmas shopping that i promised i would start, could wait a little longer.

    New daily

Thanks guys, its getting an interior valet this friday. Have an empty workshop over Xmas so will be giving it a proper Machine polish. Engine doesnt need any more than a service and tidy up as well, so by the New Year all should be good to go.

    New daily

Thought i would share my new daily. Had been standing for a couple of months after tax had ran out. 1994 2.016v, full history etc etc. Saw it for sale locally, listed as Burgundy but as you can see not very red at all! So with booster pack in one hand and £325 in the other, a deal was done and the old girl fied up first time. New pads/discs and bearings and a quick swap of some wheels we had laying around and we are looking a whole lot better, have a lot of minor improvements to be done. Interior needs a good scrub, engine mounts have arrived along with some polybushes. New plates, aerial and some interior trims all on their way so plenty to do over Xmas. Undecided on suspension and wheels at the moment, this will be used to and from work everyday which involves the mountain section of the Isle of Man TT course, so want to keep the Corrado handling like it should, instead of dodging potholes. Will keep updates coming over Xmas and New Year.
