  1. Welcome any time Richard. Just yell if you want another escape to the seaside!!

I’m feeling much relieved to be down to just three sets of wheels and I’m showing this thread to the current Mrs R to show that three sets is nothing!!

    15” Speedlines

    16” BBS RX226

    16” Schmidt Modernlines 3 piece.

All the best with the build.

  2. A facinating thread. I used to use this so frequently before the CCGB had a Facebook page. This place has never been easy to upload images and at present Tapatalk just ain’t working so FB is so easy with loads of interaction and plenty of sound, almost instant advice if needed.

I did think long and hard about what FB do with my personal data and quite frankly, I’m just not important enough to worry about it.

As for images of people’s dinners, I’d be seriously reconsider who your friends are! Anyone posting pics of their dinner on the CCGB FB page would get their knuckles wrapped!

I won’t stop being on here, but it will be intermittent at best.

  3. I made it in and the editing isn’t great - spelled my name wrong too. Not to worry.

I agree about the Golf thing. You’re right. As soon as the Golf has it’s 43rd Birthday the pages will be full of the things! Still. At least the Corrado gets exposure it deserves as VWs best coupe.

  4. The CCGB National have a stand at Harewood but sadly it’s limited to 15 cars.

We’ve also got a stand at Really Retro this month on the 24th. Still room for more cars and looks to be a really good show as it’s a mix of standard and custom and marques. Telford area so pretty central. £4 a ticket too!

  5. There was a girl on FB from Frome selling some parts and she had a new unused B12 kit for sale. It was slightly cheaper than waiting for a deal. I think the kit was in Manchester. Gemma Chandley is her name. Forget which Corrado page I saw them on. Possibly Corrado chat? Might be worth a shout?

  7. I’m on Bilstien B12 Pro. The handling is exceptional. The car has dropped by about 2-3cm only. Highly recommend. Just ensure you get the right top mounts etc.

I wouldn’t bother with coil overs unless your constantly making adjustment. The chance of horlicksing it by getting them uneven - but that’s just me! Love my Billy’s!

  8. There was still the 6 branch on it, but the scrap yard was very small with next to no room and there was no way I was having the car up in the air to access the exhaust.

The wheels were still on it, but the one closes the fuel tank filler had actually warped due to the heat.

Next pic isn't for the squeamish...

Eek. I see what you mean. Didn’t Oli have this motor from Craig?
