Just fitted stubby master cylinder used by a mk1 ford focus 1.8 non abs or seat ibiza cupra r , original master was coming into contact with timing belt cover, was running the original 9a, now a 20vt... had to replace servo due to mounting differences between the standard master with abs and the non abs stubby master any mk2 golf non abs 9" servo will fit , and bay looks a lot cleaner... dying to finish it and get her started!

There isn't a replacement mastercylinder for the abs.Corrado !My 20vt went straight onto my engine mounts, without the need to change the cylinder

What master etc is on yours and how was it not touching your t.belt cover....

Just found out that the mountings for the mk2 master to the servo are in a different location to the corrado. So once ive sourced a mk2 servo all is good

Good morning people... just got oht of the garage after playing for hours, im currently in the middle of doing a 20vt conversion and have come across my first problem.....
Ive fitted the engine knowing that it was going to come into contact with the master cylinder, so after building the downpipe I removed the engine again to sort my bay out etc...loom, brake lines, painting and replace the master with one off a ford focus or a ibiza cupra r (stubby).. once fitting it noticed the master sits to the left and the bottle will not fit..... am I able to get a stubby master with the holes where I need them ooooorr am I now in need of a servo that has the holes parallel to the inlets of the master

Ye that's a good point. Diddnt think of just doing away with that completely and getting electronic adjustment, hmm that would be awsome if you had one spare, cheers

Hi, I've done a boo boo 😂 changed a dip best bulb and managed to apply a little to much pressure on the clip, and the adjuster being old and brittle has crumbled....
Dose anyone have a clue where I'd find one,... I'm currently blinding people from my o/s headlamp being loose inside

Wasn't a option 😁 cheaper doing myself

So you just passed. Aslong as your brakes lock in the roller brake tester it's a pass even if the efficiency is below pass mark
