Hello all
Got to say a massive thank you to everyone that turned up last month, even thou there was a bit of rain to begin with we still had over 70 cars turn up and all hardcore VAG fans. Also i would love to see some more Corrados if poss :D
Every month it amazes me how many new faces I get to meet and how friendly and relax the atmosphere is, so keep it going and I hope to see you all on Tuesday 26th August.
I get asked a lot how long it takes to get to and its in west London just above Hanger lane of the m40 and about 1 hour away from Guilford, Essex Reading Etc all depending on Traffic and m25 unless your coming along N.circular.
Also unless you’re travelling from south - south east London and going through the centre of London you will not be charged for the congestion charger which finishes after 6:30pm
So it’s a quick reminder that on Tuesday the 26th August there will be the usual monthly meet starting from 7pm. As usual please come early for parking inside.
Visit http://www.e1k-acecafe.co.uk for more details and the postcode for next to it is NW10 7NN.
I will also like to thank you all for respecting ACE cafe and the roads round it as we have no longer had any trouble so keep it up guys [:D]
Thank you for reading this and hope to see you all down there

Hello all
had a massive great time last month and getting to see more and more new faces each month.
Its a quick reminder that on Tuesday the 29th July there will be the usual monthly meet starting from 7pm. As usual please come early for parking inside.
Visit http://www.e1k-acecafe.co.uk for more details and the postcode for next to it is NW10 7NN.
This is a gentle warning not to be silly and to respect ACE Cafe as they don't need a MAX POWER II on their hands.
Thank you for reading this and hope to see you all down there

hello Stoph
Ok for cheap money mods the best thing everyone does is get a 2L 16v bottom end and a 1.8 16v head with cams. Also get yourself a de-cat pipe or sports CAT with at least a 2.5 inch exhaust system
That way you should see about 170bhp.
Like Vr6Storm mentioned after this it becomes expensive and hard to get much more power out of a 16v N/A, i'm producing just under 200bhp but then my engine was built to take a bit more which soon all will be revealed.
The biggest problem on any 16v corrado is the fuel system yes its got better instant pick up over Electronic Fuel System but thats it, you get flat spots on the higher end of the rev range.
As for chipping its impossible to chip a 16v corrado yes you can add chips like the k-star and v-sam but from what ive heard your better off spending the money on a piss up :D
Personally save yourself some money and if a cheap 1.8 16v engine turns up grab it then either go down the supercharger route 250-350 bhp ive seen been done or turbo 250-600 bhp and the reason I say 1.8 16v is that you can use the pistons from the early Audi Quattro turbos so compression would not be a problem

Hello all
had a massive great time last month with over 130 cars turning up.
Its a quick reminder that on Tuesday the 24th June there will be the usual monthly meet starting from 7pm. As usual please come early for parking inside.
Visit http://www.e1k-acecafe.co.uk for more details and the postcode for next to it is NW10 7NN.
on a more serious note :-
Due to a separate incident last month outside ACE CAFE I have to ask everyone when approaching and leaving to be cautious with drivers around them and to obey driving laws.
Police will be doing spot checks on cars on the night outside the premiss if seen breaking the law and they will prosecute.
This is a gentle warning not to be silly and to respect ACE Cafe as they don't need a MAX POWER II on their hands.
Thank you for reading this and hope to see you all down there :)

Well i know there is chips available for our cars but i cant see how u can change much when the ECU only control the timing and ignition.
Now if you talk about mkIII 16 yes you can chip them as they have actualy electronic injectors and have a fueling map on it.
Remember all corrado 16v's use mechanical injection so all we have is nozzle injectors otherwise its just a fancy carb system
also cheesy personally i woundt go for carbs as the expensive to run always need adjusting and maintaince and for around that money u can do other mods which would be better

Hello
the only thing i can say is that u can't chip the 1.8 & 2L 16v ecu's. All they control is timing and ignition. As for adding a 2nd ecu like the K-star of V-sam i prefer to spend the money on quality engine work or some quality tires.
As far as i know people have told me it makes very little difference to the performance and not worth the money.

The power rhor from dubweiser doesnt fit a corrado yes its good for a mkII golf but the inlet system is slightly diffrent
The only people that make a good power roar is trimsport

There is food and drink available all night so i hope to see you all there
We had over 60+ cars and that was even with poor weather. Hopefully it will be better for next week

95 corrado never had ABf engine they only come on the mkIII golfs
Kevin go for it as its identical to yours its just the internals are different. Get it serviced and so you go :D

personally mate go for it.
I used to have a 1.8 16v and now im using a 2L 9A block, granted its bore out and fully speced up and goes like crap on a shovel, but even on a standard engine you will notice the difference.
Reason its easy to get 160bhp out of a 2L 16v is that first of all youre removing the CAT. Secondly if you but in KR cams they are slightly wilder so you get alot more top end. Thridly because the 2L engine has better built internals ull have a huge increase in torque and the power will come naturally.
There is pleant of corrado's and mkII 16v's that have dont this and no one has one complaint out of it :)
Also it will run fine on you fuel system just get a mechanic to set it all up and drive away. Also that reminds me another reason is that the 2L 16v setup will produce more is that the fuel system always adjusted itself to run low power figures so you couldn't turn up the fuel but because the K-jectronic on the KR blocks is just a little screw you have to turn means u can get more fuel in there without worrying about the ECU turning it back down
good luck with what ever u decided
