  1. Well, the G60 went to a good home today. It will be used as the guys only daily transport. The car was not advertised as a concourse, polished to within an inch of its life show car. It was exactly what it said on the tin, a one owner from new, completely standard, exceptionally clean but used 1991 G60. With 107,000 miles under its belt, its not a real shock knowing that its had a visit to the paint shop at some point is it?! Considering its price, it can't have been far out given the number of calls and emails I took on it, eventually having to turn 2 prospective purchasers away after a deposit was paid. I understand that if someone wanted to replace every nut and bolt, and polish the underside it was never going to be financially viable. As it happens, most people just want a nice, clean and original modern classic which can be used (that includes driving) for pleasure and then polished on a Sunday afternoon. Two expensive? Go and find another One Owner good factory spec standard G60 which is ready to enjoy and not a project. I was genuinely sad to see it go, it think I might live to regret it! On another note, if anyone is interested in a Green VR6 storm which requires a fair amount of TLC, feel free to get in touch. - Yes it's already had paint, and will need a lot more!:bonk: Regards Sifly.
  2. [/color] I appeared in court a few years ago for failing to stop for a policeman, despite never being given an indication to stop. There were two policemen controling the traffic after an earlier RTA. Low and behold a 'Third' Policeman takes the stand saying he was there and whitnessed the event, which was pure fabrication. When asked why I didn't see the 3rd policeman, I explained that I couldn't see someone who was not at the scene. They said I was driving a Green Renault 5 GT turbo so I pointed out that my car was a limited edition Raider in BLUE, and that if they couldn't get the colour of my car right, how could any other evidence be taken as correct? I got done for 6 points and £250, but was glad I made my point! Bent is not the word............... Glad you got a good outcome, my defence lawer was useless, hence me having to try defending myself on the day!
  3. Ok, So the later one will fit, and I will need to remove the bumper to get at it! Thanks for your help, now I just need to find an intact one!!
  4. Hi Guys, I'm trying to tidy up my early 91 G60. The front lower grill (bottom of the bumper) has been damaged and needs replacing. I know genuine a genuine replacement parts are no longer available. Questions: Are there any non-genuine suppliers, or will i need to find a second hand one? Will the later version fit or is it totally different? Do I need to remove the whole front bumper to replace it or can it be removed & re-fitted with the bumper in place? Does anyone have a part for sale?? (you can only hope)! Regards Sifly
