dinkus 10 Posted October 19, 2004 I'd go for VAG steel all round with Pagid FR pads. I believe the GSF disks aren't genuine, but are made by the same company to a slightly lower spec, but the Pagid FR pads make a world of difference to your stopping power (see my sig ;) ) The whole shebang, front and back will cost you £210inc VAT minus any appropriate discounts (I blagged 10% at my stealer with my CCGB card). Supercharged 2 Posted October 19, 2004 If your doing the rear discs you may as well get new bearings and abs rotors while your at it...
dinkus 10 Posted October 19, 2004 If your doing the rear discs you may as well get new bearings and abs rotors while your at it... Yup, highly recommended and only another £25ish per side to save a lot of arse ache. And while you're in there you might as well stick some Mk4 calipers on too

vr6storm 0 Posted October 19, 2004 Yo Ladies and Gents Just wondering whats the going rate for getting the front and rear discs, and pads replaced on a 94 VR6. Cheers depending on what discs you use................ i have Ate Power grooves on the front of mine £60-ish(a pair) from Euro-car-parts..matching Ate pads(£15-ish).....so with labour at approx 30mins a side.....easy £100-£120 for the fronts all in(parts labour and VAT) now for the rears as well as the discs and pads you are as well replacing the rear wheel bearings(£15-ish per side) and also the ABS rotor cages(£10ea) so it costs a bit more to do......but the rear discs are a bit cheaper for the pair so budget on so that should come to £125-ish on parts plus labour of approx 2+ hours as mentioned above
willmason 0 Posted October 19, 2004 I replaced the discs, pads and bearings on the back of my corrado on Saturday I used X drilled discs and Padgid FR pads and it came to £130 from GSF That price also included a set of front top mounts aswell the ABS rotor cages were easy to come off they just pryed off with a big screwdriver the only problem I found was that one of my sliding bolts had seized into the caliper carrier
