aide 0 Posted November 23, 2004 The outlet from water jacket to radiator is that side of engine - may be that attachment/ pipework... try cleaning the engine up then having a look, as there's other sensors on that side ...... not even considering head gasket at this stage :D

aide 0 Posted November 23, 2004 sorry - but what i meant was there is other things which can leak in addition to the head gasket.... NOT it isn't your head gasket
Henny 0 Posted November 23, 2004 right hand side of the engine looking from the front of the car, or from the drivers seat?!?
vwcr 0 Posted November 23, 2004 from the front of the car
Henny 0 Posted November 23, 2004 Common leaks tend to be from the following places: Plastic flange on the side of the head. Metal water pipe which runs around the front of the block and then over the gearbox has rusted through. Split rubber hose (any of 'em...) Headgasket weeping Possibly also the plastic flange on the front of the head, the oil cooler or even the expansion tank itself. You'll have to have a good look around the engine while it's warm to see if you can see where the exact source is... :| Good luck... 8)
