gearbox tool

hello

can someone please tell me what the tool i need to put gearbox oil in??

if im looking at the correct bolt it looks like its a reverse of a normal bolt?

what size is it ? where can i get it from?

also been told on here that i should try redex oil in the gearbox? is it called redex gearbox oil??? cant find it in the shops?

It's a 17mm allen key.

 

The oil you are looking for is REDLINE. REDEX is a petrol treatment.

You can get the 17mm allen key from Halfords- think they call it a gear oil key or something like that. I used Slick 50 gearbox treatment with 2 bottles of Castrol SMX-S, which you can get from larger Halfords. Check out the how-to guide for this- it's very helpful :wink:

 

By the way, some peolpe don't recommend using the Slick-50 treatment, although my gear change has never been better :D If I was going to do it now, don't think I'd use it.

It's alright in the Gearbox as there are no oilways for it to block!

o yeah i see some stuff by a company could LUCAS its american they make engine treatments too any got anything to say about it?
