MikeVR6 0 Posted December 10, 2004 Racking my brain for things for my Xmas List. I found this little gadget... http://www.stickypod.com/ Think it could make for some excellent video footage, especially at trackdays. Anyone else into a bit of "candid" photography, wink wink nudge nudge.

MikeVR6 0 Posted December 10, 2004 Link dead dude.. Is that the video of the green VR6 giving it some in the woods? Do they really hold on tight? Don't want my £1200 Sony digicam to go flying off into a field when I go round a corner at 60mph! Pro kit's $129 dollars, at today's exchange rates that's very cheap. Maybe a Group Buy for others looking a nice Stocking Filler?
Red=Fast 0 Posted December 10, 2004 Link fixed. Yeah the video is of a black GTI VR6 and a green Corrado G60 going at it through the hills near my house. The only issues I have had with the mount are that it needs more straps to sturdy the camera. If you use tie downs or more straps that are nice and tight it stops most of the movement. Your camera will stay on, but just in case, that’s why they have the tethers. Watch some of the videos of the guy putting 25lb weights on that mount. It’s pretty good. You will pull your fender off if you really yanked on it good enough. =] I was also thinking of making a plexy glass cover to help save my lense I have for my camera. Thats really the only thing I worry about.
Scruffythefirst 0 Posted December 10, 2004 Ask dinkus about camera mounts and cross bracing - ideally you need 2 supports clamping the camera in addition to the one bolted to the camera itself. I quit working there and cant remeber the make of the kit. Its the kippers fins

dinkus 10 Posted December 11, 2004 id pay the bit extra and get this one: http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera_suction ... mounts.htm Yup, they're the dogs danglies and what we use at work. You need extra straps to keep the camera steady, but that suction mount is stupidly strong. It's what we used to make the driver training video anyway. If it can stay put on a 340bhp Caterham while it's been thrown around a track then it'll be fine on your Corrado ;)
