Rossco 0 Posted December 21, 2004 Right today i changed my heater matrix, it was horrible but i got it done. Thing now is the sliding section that controls the flaps and stuff doesnt seem to want to fit back in the dash, it seems way to tight but as far as i can see there only appears to be one way it can go in, im thinkin the routing of teh cables must be wrong but im not sure can anyone fire me some advice on this?? Another thing ive noticed is that the bottom slider, the one that controls the hot and cold air wont slide all the way over to the hottest setting, has anyone experienced this before? saysomestuff 0 Posted December 24, 2004 Hi mate, i know your pain, see "Almost an ex-Corrado owner" for some juicy pics of my dashless C. Is the dash back in now? are you getting the problem with all the knobs back on etc? sounds a bit silly, but you may have pushed the knob on too far. This can obstruct the sliders range of movement. If it's all still out, I found that it was a real effort to move the sliders, the little gears even skipped when the matrix housing was out but it was fine once everything was back in. Mike Edwards 0 Posted January 1, 2005 Well, basically you've put it back together the wrong way. Can't say where you've gone wrong without a little more detail though...
Rossco 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Pretty much sorted, one of the levers had jumped out of its normal position, still seems quite tight in the dash tho but its in and workin so im no gonna complain
