goodridge 0 Posted January 7, 2005 What do you guys think of this? Not much use on a standard Corrado intercooler but what about front mounts? Like my golf  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 60237&rd=
flusted 0 Posted January 8, 2005 They are a good idea but so easy to make for under £10! same as water injection
G60Jet 1 Posted January 8, 2005 easy to make, for the control syst em you get a button on a non oem steering wheel or rig it to the WOT switch for the water bottle, use a late screen bottle, and use the one that was ment for head lamp washers, then connect that pump to your home make spray bar. job done
beavis 0 Posted January 8, 2005 Really not worth going to the time or hastle of rigging up. You need to spray that much water on the cooler to get any effect that you need a 10 litre bottle to carry enough water. Heat is theoreticaly removed from the intercooler as energy from the heat of the hot boost air is used to evaporate water off the intercooler core. This is all well and good, but to be effective you need very finly atomised water so that the small droplets evporate quickly. When you get fine droplets they just get blown stright though the core without evporating. Out of a litre of water only 100ml may be evporated doing it job, the other 900 ml has just been blasted over your inner arch.
potatonet 0 Posted January 9, 2005 I have used a liquid nitrogen setup on previous intercoolers, new ones. this reduces life of IC but allows for 10X better cooling costs about 120 pounds to rig up, go to a local aeresol refil station. they will have the parts
