Recommended Posts

Morning.

On a couple of occasions recently my VR6 has beeped at me when going quickly round a bend. Is that telling me that the traction control has taken action??

nope, it's more likely telling you to check your oil level... ;)

The only warning beeper on a Corrado is the low oil pressure warning.

didn't think that the traction control would be either that advanced or that annoying. hmmm, oil pressure. something else to keep my eye on I suppose. Presumably reasonable driving forces shouldn't impact it that much. I will investigate.

Thanks.

Been discussed a few times before, this mate.

More often than not it's the white oil pressure switch / sensor losing the plot when a bit of lateral G gets a hold of it. Same was happening on mine.

Don't rely on it though. you never know. Could be a warning of something ugly about to happen with the oil pump!

Its more likely to be your oil level being a bit low.. check the level out and top it up! :)

Running low oil round sharp bends can lead to wrecked big ends if you're unlucky. Only takes a couple of seconds of dry running to feck em up. That's generally what the oil buzzer is telling you.....an oil surge has taken place....

Make sure you keep the dipstick at MAX all the time.
