james_88 0 Posted January 18, 2005 Hello, firstly i'll introduce myself, my name is james and i bought a blue g60 in november and i'm loving every minute of owning a corrado! It's such an amazing car! I've just joined the forum so go easy on me  ! This isn't really a major problem just annoying more than anything else! The pulley wheel on the alternator makes a squeaking noise as it's going round, just wondered what i can do to fix it? Just oil it or buy a new pulley? Cheers for the help! bcstudent 0 Posted January 18, 2005 Welcome to THE forum. If it's not a slipping belt (I assume you've already considered this) then the sqeaking noise is more likely to be coming from the bearing for the rotor shaft than the pulley. If it were me I would strip the alternator and replace the bearing rather than try to lubricate the old one. This is assuming you're positive the noise is from the alternator and not the water pump bearing or the timing-belt tensioner.
