Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 24, 2005 I ran my MK1 16V on the original 9 spoke 13s (before sorting the brakes out) and it used to bounce off the limiter in 5th! Riley 0 Posted February 24, 2005 aye youll be needing the 15" rims for 280's,mmm looks over function??? well the mk1 brakes were great fun :shock: at times when mine was on the road,muchos brake fade+roundabouts+twisty roads = many changes of pants! but it did look good 8) :lol: seriously though i dont think your gearing will be much to worry about on 13's,unless you do plenty motorway driving? neil.
