olly elworthy 0 Posted February 28, 2005 any of you know if i can connect a 5 wire wideband sensor to a normal air fuel gauge? or will they only work with a lm-1 or similar instrument? as im thinking of instaling one soley to run my air/fuel gauge if so where do the wires go and what do they do? i.e for a four wire sensor, 1 ground 2 heater, 3 to ecu/gauge 4 switched live, :D
stevemac 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Have a chat with Daz (g-werks), he'll probably know...
jezzaG60 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Wideband and narrow band sensors are not interchangable in any way. Nothing to stop you having 2 narrow band sensors.... 1 on the ecu and 1 for the air-fuel guage. Only way to really do it tho is to buy a wideband unit.... but they aint cheap!

goodridge 0 Posted March 3, 2005 I didn't think you needed a seperate probe to run an air/fuel ratio gauge?

goodridge 0 Posted March 4, 2005 How do you go about adjusting the air/fuel ratio on the road then mate?
W3RKD 0 Posted March 4, 2005 How do you go about adjusting the air/fuel ratio on the road then mate? u would need a bloody long arm...  this is just a far more accurate gauge not a tool for adjustment
goodridge 0 Posted March 4, 2005 I thought so! So presumably you can only set it at idle, then the map on the chip should sort the rest? And what happens if its out?
