jsites 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Can anyone describe the safest way to remove and replace the rear speed sensor (ABS?) from a 91 Corrado? I could use a diagram of the rear hub assembly as the whole thing needs to be replaced. mailto:[email protected] Thanks!
kebabman 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Do you mean the cage or the actual sensor? I've got pics of the various bits (rear only) on a VR if that's any help?
MikeVR6 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Which model of '91 Corrado is it? IIRC 1.8 16v's didn't have ABS. Think it may have been an option on G60's.
jsites 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Good point- it is a g60. New car for me- actually is my son's -replacing the whoole passenger rear assembly due to a slide in the snow against the curb. Easy car to work on but this has me stumped.
jsites 0 Posted March 7, 2005 I'm looking at the sensor- the cage fell out when the hub shatterred- got some parts coming but this is a bit awkward. My email is mailto:[email protected] if you can send schematics or pics. Deeply appreciated.
kebabman 0 Posted March 8, 2005 Not sure which parts you are wanting pics of mate? What don't you get....? The cage fits on the inside of the hub, it's just press on, and the sensor fits through from the back of the carrier(?) and sits just above it. This is on a VR again. It's pretty easy to change it all once the hub/disk is off.
