saysomestuff 0 Posted March 8, 2005 after my valver has driven a few miles at motorway speed - once i slow down to traffic lights etc, it starts making a wierd (and loud) hooting noise (from the front) and the steering judders a bit - i thought it was the brakes as it goes away if you press very lightly on the pedal, but there is also a squeek that is definately the brakes, leading me to believe that it might not be, any ideas?? Also, It pretty much ionly does it at a certain degree of turn of the steering wheel say between 1 and to 2 o'clock ish
Scruffythefirst 0 Posted March 8, 2005 Get the car in the air and check all the suspension bushes and bolts are ok and tight enough. Could be a binding brake caliper or knackered wheel bearing as well
saysomestuff 0 Posted March 8, 2005 could it be a steering component?
Henny 0 Posted March 8, 2005 yeah, it could be a slipping power steering belt...
