G60 uprated mounts all round

Ok, I have been reading frantically about this lately - but all of the info I have found is quite dated and so felt it worth posting again to get an updated idea of what current mounts are good.

 

My front engine mount is knackered and so I am replacing it with an EIP solid front engine mount. I'm not 100% sure as to whether this exactly what I'm after or whether I want something with a little give, but am willing to give it some time to see. At the same time I would like to replace the rear and gbox mounts.

 

For a G60, what are good mounts to go for? I have read countless times that VR6 owners are going for a combination of VT and Turn2 mounts - but haven't found the same consistency with G60 owners - any suggestions please??? Any referrals to previous posts/products would be greatly appreciated!!!

rear engine mounts are vibratechniks

BBM's will rattle your teeth out, EIP tuning makes a front mount for the G 60 as well, will again rattle teeth out.

the vibratechniks stuff is expensive so look out for it in other places, look elsewhere online, but as far as I know they are bulletproof. mine others are shot too. the rear passenger I will probably get the vibratechniks, and same for tranny mount. cost me way too much tho.

I was under the impression it was best to go for VAG mounts for the rear and gearbox mount as they do not take as much of a hammering then the front mount. 16vg60 on this forum makes the solid front engine mounts.

i will be using standard vw mounts for the other two....but i will look into mk2 deisel mounts to see if they are a bit tougher......

if the standard rear and gbox mounts will do then i'd happily go for them to cut down on costs! VT mounts are just too expensive. Curious about the Turn2 mounts for either of the rears though - read a Turn2 gbox mount and a VW standard rear is a good combo. Any experience of this with a G60?

Andy - where are you getting the other 2 mounts from? GSF or VW?
