Guest Posted March 13, 2005 I've never done it in a Corrado but I would look and see if there is any holes in the door shell where you can get a socket in there. Here's a thread on replacing the window lifter bushings that shows the two bolts you need to remove to get the glass out... Window lifter bushing thread Pull the outer panel off and see if you can get a socket in there otherwise you will have to get a wrench up there and remove it the hard way. If your window lifter is totally hooped then you may be able to cut the cable on the lifter assembly which would allow the glass to drop as well. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 13, 2005 Changing out the motor is a pain in the butt....and you have to buy the motor with a new regulator assembly. You can't buy the motor seperately. You have drill the rivets out that secure the regulator and motor to the door. I did mine about a month ago and it took roughly two hours. Just make sure you have a decent rivet gun and some rivets to hand. You'll see what needs doing when the door card is off! Oh and you need to tape the glass to the door frame otherwise it will drop down and bust your fingers!
Guest Posted March 13, 2005 Another point to keep in mind is to make sure the bottom & sides of the vapour barrier are properly sealed or you will get water leaking inside the car. Cheers, Dennis
gradeAfailure 0 Posted March 13, 2005 If the motor is the same as the Passat one, I have a spare from the driver's door of mine that you can have for just the cost of the postage if you need? The regulator's knackered but I think the motor just unbolts...
