Part number for an alternator

Could one of you kind gentleman or ladies please furnish me with the part number for an 2.0 16V alternator?

vag part numbers are normally in the format of:

xxx xxx xxx (027 903 015 in this case)

The other number is probably the Bosch part number (012 048 9360 361)

The final number is the spec of the alternator (14V 65A)

Now that you have your part number .... please please please change that stupid avatar pic. I don't know why but it makes my blood boil!!

thanks lads for the info - i shall look for a new pic cos im also finding it annoying - as for the spelling - unless you would like to buy me a dictionary and help me with dislexia its going to be spelt wrong ok!

lol just a quick one but i think ive got a bit of something in the alternator

floating about and its making a funny noise - the AA man sead it could cach fire if i dont get it changed and i have been getting electric shocs from the body every time i get out - could this be related and should i drive her :) ???

No. Electric shock is caused by static build up. Do you were polyester pants?

 

To avoid the static shock, ground yourself on the car (eg. keep hold of the door frame) as you get out the car.

 

Don't know about the alternator though. However, if the AA man says it could catch fire, I'd be inclined to believe him - he doesn't stand to gain anything by making that up.
