woody 0 Posted April 1, 2005 I am in the middle of stripping seats to go off to the trimmers and i am having a problem with the round black bits which hold the headrest in place. I need to remove them to allow me to change the foam in the upper part of the seat. How are these removed it looks like they have to be pushed up from the inside of the seat, but i managed to trap my fingers trying. Thanks in advance Woody
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 1, 2005 You mean the headrest guide tubes? They have one way lugs which need pressing in after sliding the back rest cloth up high enough to get to them.

Andy Brookes 0 Posted April 1, 2005 they are a bugger to get out, I think I used a tie wrap the last time. You will see once you have the cloth off.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 2, 2005 Yeah, I used some long nosed pliers and a screwdriver to edge them out of the seat frame the first time but the second time I just bought new ones and cut the old ones out, a lot easier!!
daves16v 1 Posted April 27, 2007 Is this thread referring to the small metal clips (qty 4) at the base of the seat back? I need to get to the inside of the seat to repair a cable, are these the clips to remove? Anything else I need to remove to be able to reach the seat lever on the side?
