coullstar 0 Posted April 5, 2005 I like my standard exhaust apart from the noise or lack off to be precise. If I were to remove one of the silencers would this give it a better note? If it would then which one would be best to remove? Front or middle?
coullstar 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Does anybody know the size of the original system? Might just replace the section after the CAT.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 5, 2005 It be a 2.25 incher.... the back box is the one that has the biggest affect on tone and volume.

Jimbob1970 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Golfg60, Yeah, I know what you mean. I had a Powerflow on my 16v when I bought that, and it was deafening in the car at motorway cruising speeds. It had to go. I bought a full Supersprint system from Stealth, and I sold the Powerflow on. The Supersprint system was much better, and no loss of power either. golfg60 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Yeah, tell me about it mate, i reckon driving my car on the motorway is like what it would have been in a world war 2 bomber - so loud!! Do you reckon i could just get a new silencer from powerflow rather than replace the whole lot?
