CIPO 0 Posted April 5, 2005 This has been going on for feking ages and is doing my head in. It squeals when the wheel is rotating but seems to almost go away when you left foot brake while still travelling along. When coming to a stop it can be quite noisey too. I have changed the pads, discs and the caliper on that side at it's still doing it. What else could be causing it???????? The piston on the old caliper was a bit dodgy and i think it has warpped the new disc(a bit of shuddering on braking). Also at speed the steering shakes as if the wheels aren't balanced but they just were balanced. Please HELP!!!
coolrado 0 Posted April 5, 2005 sounds like the disks are knackered but you could try a thin layer of copper grease on the back of the pads NOT ON THE BRAKING SURFACE to stop the squeeling. do you have anti squeel plates on the back of your pads ? 2cc 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Hmm, agree most likely either a warped disc or, as happened to mine (garage f'up), a warped drive flange. Try doing a run out check on the disc, if its out then try the flange.
