20valver 0 Posted June 30, 2003 I've recently managed to snap my gear shift cable of a 1991 16v corrado. They stoped making it in 95! doh! and not having much luck in sourcing one. The part number is KU0535711265A. Any help would be much appreciated!
Rossco 0 Posted June 30, 2003 get yourself down to the scrappies and nick one off a passat, they have the same cable change box as the corrado
20valver 0 Posted June 30, 2003 Cheers, I'd heard a rumour that a passat one would do. Will it be the same year passat ?????
Rossco 0 Posted June 30, 2003 i think any passat one would fit, just make sure its box setup looks the same as your corrado one
spoier 0 Posted June 30, 2003 Over here in the USA there are later Corrado shift mechanisms that have a counterweight attached which makes shifting smoother, and is a good upgrade, but may cause clearance problems to the intercooler tubing and require a little fiddling. Just to warn you. Do a google search for "corrado shift counterweight" if you want more info.. If you are just changing the cable it doesn't matter but if you change the box at the trans then it might. Skye
