Mk 4 Polo conversions? looking for info!

Hey guys

One of my mates has a Mk4 Polo and looking for an engine conversion. Anyone know a good forum or info on what engine will fit into it?

Ring JBS Autodesign in chesterfield, they put a G60 engine into one and it was pushing something like 220bhp. There's some infor on their website.

 

Or You could put a VR6 in it.

there are loads of things that he needs as i am looking to be the conversion myself.

 

g60 engine, gearbox, loom, ecu

polo diesel radiator

mk3golf subframe mounts

a custom made harness to go from polo to g60 engine

a rover intercooler

 

thats all i can think of off the top of my had but i have a list at home ill see if i can dig it out.

Tuned G40 might be easier to fit - 160-170bhp would go well! :wink:

Cheers Guys for the info. I've passed it on, I think he has had second thoughts (especially on how much its going to cost) and going to sell it and buy a Golf VR6 or something!

Yep, from what I hear, Polo's are a pain in the arse for modern engine conversions - G40 may well be the way to go!
