ETKA request...

Relating to my ongoing cooling issues, could some kind lovely person with ETKA please check for me if the part numbers for the thermostat and fan thermoswitch are the same for a '92 Passat 2.0 with aircon compared to one without...?

 

I'll buy ya a beer for yr troubles as I really need to know this!

Hmm.. I typed in 'thermo' in etka, for a 1992 passat and got various results.

 

Here's a few pics, let me know if the bits you're looking for are on any of them :)

Hmmm, can't see the fan thermoswitch in the rad anywhere on those, but the stat itself is item # 12 on passat_pic4

only see two thermostats listed so not certain about these

 

056 121 113 d 87c-102c for 9a

044 121 113 87c-102 for aaz

 

thermoswitch (mounted in plastic housing top rad hose to head )

 

357 919 369 e thermal switch for switching off air/con and or ele fan 3

stage

112/119c and 112/108c 4 pin brown

 

357 919 369 f themal switch for vehicles with ele fan 3 stage

112c 2 pin black/green

Part 12 on pic 4 is #056 121 113 D

Doesnt say it's for aircon models only though, so I guess it's generic.

 

The part number may have changed as my etka is a couple of years old :wink:

Errr, mine has the 2E engine which is an 8V, so not sure if those stat numbers are correct... And the thermostatic switch I'm after is the one that screws into the lower right (as you look at the car) corner of the rad... Cheers for looking though!

 

Edit: ah yes, part # 15 on that last drawing!

Ah, carpy25 found the numbers for you

 

I paste the pics by pressing the "Print Screen" button on my keyboard to take a screenshot. Then open photoshop, paste the clipboard screenshot, and crop the pic, save as a gif :)
