Pulsing Lights

Recommended Posts

My lights (interior and exterior) seem to pulse when the car is runnig. When I press the accelerator its not as noticeable. The alternator and battery have been changed in the last few months.

Any ideas?

Thought it may be something to do with that. So what does it entail to be sorted? Repair or replace? Its new so it'll be going back to the garage either way.

The controller for the alternators needs to be replaced if you have lost a phase. The garage is most likely going to fit a new one and send the old 'new' one back for repair.

Is it part of the alt itself? How difficult is it to sort out?

Probably the alternator Stan. Maybe the diode/brush pack is donald. They aren't much money to try, around 10-15 quid.

Its supposed to be a new alt!!!

It was changed a couple of months ago, and then supposedly fixed last week when it wasnt working, hence the delay in picking the car up.

Wheres good around this area Gav?
